User needs and working habits are changing, tools and services for accessing information are becoming increasingly sophisticated, more accessible and cheaper, and yet the PATLIB network could become more important than ever before! How? In the same way that the services you offer today are different from the ones you offered 10 years ago.
We have witnessed the shift of the role of PATLIB centres from library to physical and virtual information centre, to partner in innovation and consultant. What does the future hold? What key elements does the network need to become future-proof? Is the PATLIB network fit for the future?
The PATLIB2008 conference will address the issues currently faced by the PATLIB network and, most importantly, will outline the tools, partnerships, services and competencies it needs to face future challenges.
