This workshop will first provide an introduction to our new DesignFinder service for the protection and research of registered and patented international industrial designs, then an update on the recently enhanced version of QPAT.
 
Attendees will get an overview of DesignFinder’s various and powerful functionalities:  single-platform search; display options; customisation; alerting; reporting; sharing; and administration. The second part of the workshop will focus on recent enhancements to our QPAT service, including: a new high-performance platform; mosaic images; and content management, collaboration, and searching within PatentExaminer.

An overview of the suite of intellectual property services and tools available from LexisNexis featuring the newly launched TotalPatent, with three times the number of full-text patent authority sources; PatentOptimizer, which helps streamline the patent analysis process and helps serve as a critical quality control check; and Global IP Law Service, a powerful new tool designed for IP professionals with global coverage and up-to-date information. Including IP practice & proceedings, IP legislation & regulations, news and updates, the service covers trade marks, patents, designs and more from 220-plus countries.

PatBase – new data, new machine translation, new search tools - search tips for Minesoft and RWS's international full-text patent family database

A workshop designed for new and existing PatBase users, covering search and display
features of this full text family based database. Searching full text data from six issuing authorities combined with four major patent classification systems within a single database environment offers searchers greater possibilities from the start. However, understanding the file structure is an important first step to formulating an effective search strategy. The session will also introduce new features launched this year, such as machine translations, new data coverage and advanced highlighting features. PatBase is a patent database covering data from 70 patent-issuing authorities and has been designed for professionals by professional patent searchers.

Patent Information Tools: STN Viewer and STN Anavist V2.0

STN Viewer is a web-based workflow productivity tool for patent information users, designed for easy management and evaluation of full-text patent documents. STN Viewer is designed to aid in the patent evaluation process and to provide an efficient way for patent information professionals to communicate results to intellectual property professionals and others interested in full-text patent information.

STN AnaVist, Version 2.0, is now the only platform that permits analysis and visualisation of both CAplus and Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI), with content processed by STN for optimal visualisation. STN AnaVist is a powerful interactive analysis and visualisation software that offers a variety of ways to analyse search results as well as visualise patterns and trends in the research. STN AnaVist can help you answer complex questions as well as provide information that can be used to make faster and better business decisions. The new and enhanced features will be presented.
