1. Patent information retrieval contest - PIRC

Organisation profile:
AKPIC was re-established as an organisation with a membership system for acquiring and expanding domestic and foreign patent information and promoting its use. Its main activities include collecting and providing patent, scientific and technical information as well as issuing bulletins and delivering lectures and seminars.
Poster:
The first online patent information retrieval contest was held in 2007 at the 50th anniversary event of the Association for Kansai Patent Information Center. Retrieval skills were evaluated from three points of view: the number of appropriate patents, accuracy of search queries, and advising capabilities.
