Poster session: a new feature at "East meets West 2008"

A new feature this year is a poster session for providers of East Asian patent information to introduce the search possibilities and features of their services. The poster session will take place on Friday, 18 April 2008 between 10.00 and 11.00 hrs and will be combined with our popular "Coffee with the experts". This will allow for in-depth one-on-one discussions between providers and users of East Asian patent information in an informal atmosphere during a long coffee break.

Information for poster presenters

This is your chance to talk direct to users of East Asian patent data. Please focus on East Asia related content and make sure your poster fits with the overall theme of "East meets West".

For the amount of EUR 100, the EPO will provide:

  • one easel to display your DIN A1 poster
  • one small, round standing table (cocktail table)

The poster session area is located on the 1st floor of the Radisson SAS Palais Hotel and will be available to you from 08.00 hrs on Friday, 18 April 2008. Please make sure that your poster is placed on your easel by 10.00 hrs. We encourage you to leave your poster on the easel even after the end of the poster session. Forum participants might want to use the lunch break or afternoon coffee break to have another look.

Please note:

  • poster size should not exceed DIN A1 (594x841mm or 23.3x33.1 inches)!
  • no internet connection or other technical equipment will be provided, so please rely on your poster and your oral communication skills
  • the cocktail table is small (80 cm diameter) and you can only place a limited amount of promotional material or pamphlets on it

A booking for a space in the poster session does not include any participant registration.

Due to space restraints, the number of easels and posters will be limited. Only one poster per company or organisation will be admitted.
