Pre-conference working group on “Chinese patent data coverage”

Désolé. Actuellement, cette page n'existe pas en français.

Chinese patent information (basic bibliographic data, legal status and document translations) is becoming increasingly important for the patent information community worldwide.  In recent years, a range of new services and databases has become available, offering Chinese data from both Chinese and western sources. This working group's task is to compile a comprehensive survey of existing sources and new initiatives in the area of Chinese patent data coverage, with a particular view to minimising unhelpful duplication of future efforts in this area.

Chairman: Stephen Adams, Magister Ltd.

Purpose: Collating information on new and existing sources of Chinese patent data

Who should attend?

  • primary data producers
  • database producers preparing databases with Chinese data
  • translation agencies
  • skilled patent searchers
  • patent information specialists and attorneys experienced in handling Chinese data.

To ensure a constructive working atmosphere, the number of people admitted to the working group is limited to 40.

The pre-conference working group will take place at the EPO Vienna on Thursday 17 April 2008 from 9.30 to 11.30.

The findings of this working group will be presented to the plenary of "East meets West" on Friday, 18 April 2008.

Please fill in this form, if you are interested in joining the working group.
