 Applications must be submitted:

• on the application form available from the European Patent Office (EPO)

• by 1 March of each year; applications not received by that date can be held over until the following year.

Decisions in respect of applications for support

Decisions in respect of applications for support are taken by the President of the EPO following consultation
with the Research Advisory Board. The members of this Board are, at present, the following:
