European patent applications filed in 2006: technical domains and residence of inventors
These tables show the origin of the invention for which applications were filed in 2006 to obtain a European patent, based on the residence of the inventor. The first table covers the direct European applications filed under the EPC, the second table covers the applications filed first under the Patent Cooperation Treaty that entered the European granting procedure in 2006. Finally the third table shows the distribution of the entire bundle of applications. This gives a measure of the innovative activity in the different countries.
