EPO President - election procedure suspended

Munich, 3 February 2010 -- The Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation held its 121st meeting in Munich from 2 to 3 February 2010.

The procedure initiated in June 2009 to elect a new President of the European Patent Office was resumed but did not reach a conclusion. However, the Council decided that the same procedure should continue, with the existing pool of candidates, at an extraordinary Council meeting on 1 March 2010.
