The public international conference "Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management"
(Venice, 26/27.10.2006) focused on the role of the IP system in the knowledge-based economy and considered the strategic importance of IP and innovation management for the creation of commercial value both in the world of business and public research institutions. IT provided a platform for networking with experts regarding the strategic use of IP & knowledge management in innovation, coming from governmental institutions, IP-authorities, industry, the IP profession and business advisors, universities as well as public and private research institutions.
