The European Patent Organisation is an intergovernmental organisation set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention which entered into force in 1977. Conducting a wide reaching benchmarking study of total reward packages in EPO comparable working environments in order to assess the competitiveness of the EPO package.

Payment: within 30 days of acceptance of the deliverables and receipt of an invoice in the correct form.

If several bidders submit a joint bid, one must be designated as prime contractor responsible for performance of all the obligations under the contract.

Period during which the bidder is bound by his bid:
Six months following the final date for receipt of bids indicated in point 6(d).

Criteria for the award of contract:
The contract will be awarded according to the following criteria (amongst others). From the order of the criteria you may not conclude on its weighing.
- Analytical approach and suitable methods used to carry out the study;
- Evidence of experience in producing benchmarking studies (references and CVs of team members);
- Evidence of experience of total reward analysis (references and CVs of team members);
- Ability to tailor the study to the specific requirements of the EPO;
- Evidence of experience with international organisations and/or in the public service sector;
- Evidence of the members' abilities to work in English;
- Geographical coverage of the proposed study;
- Price performance ratio.

Other information:
The contract is expected to be awarded mid/end May 2008.
The EPO may invite pre-selected bidders to present their bids in Munich between 29 April 2008 and 6 May 2008. The related costs incurred by the bidders will not be reimbursed by the EPO.
