   The European Patent Organisation is an intergovernmental organisation set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention, which entered into force in 1977.       Part 1 Ventilation

      • cleaning of ventilation shafts (18 974 m²) and air ducts (6 963 m²)
      • replacement of sound absorbers (3 061)
      • replacement of sound-absorbing pipes DN 100 to DN 250 (748)
      • renovation of fire valves, incl. smoke detectors and fan, with the dimensions 201x201 to 1 500x1 500 (623)
      • renovation of mixing chambers DN 125 to 250 (393)
      • renovation of central ventilation mechanisms for plants with volume currents of 1 100 to 85 490 m³/h as outlet and inlet system (46)
      • replacement of parts subject to wear and tear, e.g. membranes and flexible connecting pipes of induction equipment (2 724), installation of electric room thermostats including electronic-pneumatic coupling system (908) and software cabling and programming
      • installation of heat register to exploit excess heat (3), heat exchanger (1) incl. control system and cabling, new piping and insulation DN 65 to 100 (800 m)
      • dismantling and disposal of reciprocating compressors (2) incl. cooling system (2) and pipe systems DN 100 to 250

    • Average number of staff employed in the last three financial years, with breakdown according to function

11. Other information:

    The EPO reserves the right to invite bidders to a meeting to clarify their bid. The costs incurred by bidders in attending such meetings are not reimbursable.
    It is planned to offer those bidding for the ventilation work (Part 1) an opportunity to visit the object on 12/13 June 2008 on prior arrangement of an appointment. Requests for an appointment must be sent in writing by post, fax or e-mail to the address specified in Point 6(a) by 10 June 2008, 12:00 hrs. The request must quote the number of this tender and the full name(s) of the person(s) who will be attending on behalf of their firm. The EPO will inform bidders of the precise time of the visit.
    Contract award is expected to take place in the first week of November 2008.
