The European Patent Organisation is an intergovernmental organisation set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention which entered into force in 1977. Mobile telephone and data services.

Division into lots:
The agreement is divided into 3 lots, one for each country, where the EPO is based: Germany (office site in Munich and Berlin), Austria and the Netherlands. Bids with quotations for all three lots will be preferred (see sec. 10, below).

Main terms concerning payment:
Monthly payments in arrears, 30 days after receipt of an invoice in the correct form.

Duration of contract or time limit for delivery or completion of services/work:
Duration of the initial Mobile telephone and data service contract is 2 years, starting on 15 March 2009. At the sole discretion of the EPO the contract may be extended for another 2 terms of 2 years each.

Bids must be submitted in writing by either mail or courier. Bids must not be submitted by fax or e-mail.

If several bidders submit a joint bid, one must be designated as prime contractor responsible for performance of all the obligations under the contract.

Customer and bank references and all information requested in Form A of the General Conditions of Tender (Part I of the procurement documents)

Period during which the bidder is bound by his bid:
Six months following the final date for receipt of bids indicated in point 6(d).

Criteria for the award of contract:
The EPO will only consider bids in which:
- The expected contract sum does not exceed 30% of the annual bidder's turnover of the previous 2 (two) years;
- Blackberry services are offered.
The contract shall be awarded to the bidder whose bid is to be preferred having regard to the bidder's:
- experience with similar projects/customer references;
- compliance with the Technical Conditions;
- price in relation to the offered services;
- completeness of bid (regarding lots);
- compliance with the EPO's Specific Conditions of Contract.
