The European Patent Organisation is an intergovernmental organisation set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention which entered into force in 1977. The Agreement shall be concluded for an initial period of one year. At the EPO's sole discretion and without possibility for the Contractor to oppose it, the term of the Agreement may be extend by one year but no more than four times. Accordingly, this Agreement ends automatically at the latest five years after its entry into force.

If several bidders submit a joint bid, one must be designated as prime contractor responsible for performance of all obligations under the contract.

Only bids containing the evidence referred to in point 8 will be allowed.

The EPO reserves the right to invite short-listed bidders to a presentation of their bids at the EPO's premises in either The Hague (NL) or Munich (DE). Respective costs incurred by the bidders relating to such presentations will not be reimbursed. It is intend to hold these presentations in calendar week 35/2013.
The contract is expected to be awarded in the 4th quarter of 2013.
