Installation of safety features and equipment 

  1. Awarding Authority:

    The European Patent Organisation (EPO) through the European Patent Office: Headquarters, Bob-van-Benthem-Platz 1, D-80469 Munich, Postal address: EPO, D-80298 Munich.
    The European Patent Organisation is an intergovernmental organisation set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention which entered into force in 1977.   3. Description of the contract:

    1. Purpose of the contract:

      Installation of safety features and equipment

      • Video technology, video analytics about 30 cameras
      • Building Management System (PSIM) about 5000 data points
      • Communication System, IP, about 20 telephone stations
    2. Division into lots:

      Not applicable.

    4. Main terms concerning payment:

      Within 30 days of receipt of a correct invoice.

    5. Qualifications required by law:

      Not applicable.

  4. Place and period of performance:

    2. Duration of contract or time limit for delivery or completion of services/work:

      The equipment shall be delivered within 6 weeks of contract signature.
      Duration of contract is one year with four optional extensions of 1 year each.

    4. Criteria for assessing bidders' know-how, capacity and reliability to fulfil the contract:

      • please quote the brand-names which are relevant for the safety equipment.
      • At least two references comparable in size and product with similar projects within the last five years.
      • contractor's staff must be able to reach the EPO's premises (as per point 4(a) above) within two hours.
  7. Legal form of the grouping in the event of a joint bid:

    If several bidders submit a joint bid, they must be jointly and severally liable for the performance of the obligations under the contract. A declaration to this effect, duly signed by all members of the grouping and appointing a representative that is authorised to act on behalf of all members, must be submitted with the bid.

  9. Period during which the bidder is bound by his bid:

    Six months following the final date for receipt of bids.

    Contract award is expected to take place in February 2014.

    Bidders will have an opportunity to view the premises on 14 and 15 January 2014. This will last about two hours. We will inform you of the precise date and time of the viewing at the same time as you request the Procurement Documents.
