A bank guarantee equal to 5% of the price of the works shall be provided by the contractor to the EPO at the latest upon the date of the commencement of the works.
The bank guarantee shall expire at the end of the liability for defects period.
Payments will be made in instalments on the basis of work completed and accepted.
The contractor must be eligible for a permit to carry out the works from the local authorities.

The Works shall commence immediately following signature of the Agreement by both parties and all the Works shall be completed and accepted 4 months following signature of the Agreement.
Proposals for variants, the effect of which would be to reduce significantly the rights and safeguards of the EPO, are not allowed.
