One more reason to be connected to the internet
If you are interested in what is happening on the European patent scene, and on hearing opinions about European patents and patent information, then you might consider subscribing to the EPO mailing list. Membership is free and members can communicate with other members to share information and opinions of interest to all. All members automatically receive an e-mail containing the text of new postings as they appear.
As a general rule, the EPO will not get involved in the discussions on the mailing list. The list is not moderated and the responsibility of content remains with the author of the posting.
For security reasons, the mailing list accepts new subscribers only after a re-confirmation of their respective subscription. It is strongly recommended that you frequently update your anti-virus software to make sure your computer is protected against any form of harmful security attack that might occur when using Internet communication facilities.
How to subscribe:
To subscribe, simply send an e-mail to: majordomo@mlist.austria.eu.net
In your e-mail please type "subscribe epo" in the first line of the text main body and do not type anything in the subject field. Please, refrain from including a signature file to make sure the sent mail only contains the text "subscribe epo". You will receive a request for re-confirmation from the mailserver, which you simply return as directed.
Once you have successfully subscribed, you can send messages to all other subscribers by sending e-mails to epo@mlist.austria.eu.net
How to unsubscribe:
To unsubscribe, simply send an e-mail to: majordomo@mlist.austria.eu.net
In your e-mail please type "unsubscribe epo" in the first line of the text main body and do not type anything in the subject field. Please refrain from including a signature file!
In case you need to unsubscribe from a different account than you initially used to get on the list (e.g. "mustermann@company.com") please use the following syntax:
unsubscribe epo mustermann@company.com
If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself), please send us a short message.
Basic functionality of the mailing list
- Everything you send to the address "epo@mlist.austria.eu.net" will be sent to every subscriber of the list [new security rules as outlined above apply]
- If you use the REPLY command to a message it will by default ONLY go to the individual account that posted the mail. Therefore if you want to address your reply to all subscribers of the list, you need to forward it to epo@mlist.austria.eu.net again.
