New fee rates

By Law No. 24/2015 of 24 July 20151 some patent fees payable to the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office have been changed.

Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Spain are advised that from 1 April 2017 the following rates apply:

1. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC: EUR 107.80 for translations on paper, EUR 91.63 in electronic form

2. Publication of translations of the patent specification under Article 65 EPC:

EUR 320.93 plus EUR 12.90 for each page of the translation in excess of 22 for translations on paper, EUR 272.79 plus EUR 10.97 in electronic form

4. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:

Filing fee: EUR 100.38 (EUR 85.32 for electronic filings)

Fee for each priority: EUR 19.65 (EUR 16.70 for electronic filings)

5. Registering transfers, licences and other rights: EUR 13.24 for each entry (EUR 11.25 in electronic form)

Registering a change of the applicant's/patentee's name: EUR 16.38 for each entry (EUR 13.92 in electronic form)
