Notice from the European Patent Office dated 4 March 2010 concerning the closing of the mailroom at its headquarters in Munich

Due to the continued renovation works in the headquarters of the European Patent Office, (Erhardtstrasse 27, Munich) the mailroom in this building will be closing as of 22.03.2010 until further notice.

Due to the closure of the mailroom, the counter service in the office's headquarters will no longer be available. Counter services for personal deliveries in Zollstrasse, Munich remains available during the published hours.

Automated mailboxes, which can be used at any time, are located in Munich (next to the EPO headquaters in Kohlstrasse and "PschorrrHöfe" buildings in Zollstrasse). The Kohlstrasse automated mailbox will not be affected by the renovation works.

Alternatively, applications for European patents can also be filed online using the EPO Online Filing software, by fax (excluding authorisations and priority documents), by post or by hand at the EPO's branch in The Hague and its Berlin sub-office.
