Celebrating 40 years of the European Patent Convention

Throughout 2013 we will be commemorating a landmark in European co-operation: the 40th anniversary of the signing of the European Patent Convention.

We will be celebrating with a range of events and activities including:

• the launch of the Hall of Fame of the European Inventor Award in Munich's Deutsches Museum
• the European Inventor Award ceremony in Amsterdam on 28 May
• a commemorative book
• a competition for university students (the EPO Innovation Contest)
• an art competition for primary schools

and culminating in

• an academic symposium and a gala in Munich on 17 October.
