New format for your annual event!

Your continuous feedback has enabled us to revisit the concept of the PATLIB event. Together with the PATLIB2011 Programme Committee, we are pleased to introduce

PATLIB2011: "a learning event".

You called for more break-out sessions and hands-on training courses as well as a broader coverage of IP rights and news on patent policy. PATLIB2011 has now been adapted to address all of these and will concentrate on three main themes: "tools", "IP matters" and "patent procedure".

You will be able to choose from practical presentations and an increased number of hands-on training sessions. You will also be able to visit the EPO. This is a very rare opportunity, so you are advised to register for one or more site visits.

PATLIB2012: "a networking event"

You expressed particular interest in presentations by patent information centres based on completed projects and real-life experience. This kind of presentation will take place during PATLIB2012.

Every two years, the PATLIB conference "as we know it" will continue to run in a different EPO Member State and will be "a networking event". PATLIB2011 and subsequent events (2013, 2015, etc.) will be "learning events" and will be held at an EPO location.
