Day 2: The importance of IP management for universities
09.00	Panel discussion Why is IP management a strategic issue for universities? Universities in OECD countries and beyond adopt IP policies to enhance the impact of their research results. As a result of different national regulations, a diversity of legal and policy approaches exists. This has led universities to negotiate different IP arrangements with companies, for example. Smaller universities are also embarking on IP policies, but in most cases they lack the necessary expertise and experience to do so. This session will focus on open issues in university IP management and provide a platform for exchange on best practices.
