The venue for this year’s European Inventor Award ceremony on 17 June is the former Kaiserliches Telegrafenamt, a building rich in history in the heart of Berlin. Built in 1861-63 to serve as a new central telegraph station, it has continuously been at the forefront of technological innovation. Visitors to the building, which is today used by Deutsche Telekom, are greeted by an impressive mix of modern architecture and historical elements.
