Language of the proceedings in the European phase

The language of the proceedings is one of the official languages of the EPO (English, French, German). If the international application has been published in one of those languages, this language is the language of the proceedings. If not, the language of the translation which was transmitted to the EPO as designated or elected Office on entry into the European phase is the language of proceedings (see point 199 ff).
