Reduction of the search fee

If a supplementary European search report is to be established, the European search fee is at present (01.12.2005) reduced as follows:

·

by 20% for international applications filed before 1 July 2005 and for which the ISR was drawn up by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Japan Patent Office, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks or the Australian Patent Office;



·

by presently EUR 190 for international applications filed on or after 1 July 2005 and for which the ISR was drawn up by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Japan Patent Office, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks or the Australian Patent Office;



·

by presently EUR 810 for international applications filed on or after 1 July 2005 and for which the ISR was drawn up by the Austrian Patent Office, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office or the Swedish Patent and Registration Office; where the European search fee is paid after 1 April 2006, the reduction of EUR 810 will be adjusted upwards to EUR 845;



·

by presently EUR 810 for international applications filed on or after 1 April 2005 and for which the ISR was drawn up by the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland; where the European search fee is paid after 1 April 2006, the reduction of EUR 810 will be adjusted upwards to EUR 845.

If the Canadian patent office acted as ISA, no reduction of the search fee is presently granted.
