Reduction of the examination fee

Applicants having their residence or principal place of business in an EPC contracting state having a language other than English, French or German as an official language, and nationals of that state who are resident abroad, are entitled to a 20% reduction in the examination fee on condition that

they file the written request for examination (up to the date of payment of the examination fee) in one of the official languages of this state other than English, French or German, and


·

within one month of so doing - at the earliest simultaneously with the written request for examination (Form 1200) - file a translation in the language of the proceedings (see point 175).
