We carry out searches in Japanese databases on behalf of our customers:
The Japanese PATOLIS database is the most comprehensive source of detailed legal status information on Japanese industrial property rights (patents, utility models, trade marks and designs). It is the quickest and cheapest way to obtain the latest full legal status information.
The EPO’s Japanese Patent Information Department in Vienna uses the PATOLIS database to provide you with the most up-to-date legal status information on Japanese patent and utility model documents.
The search results are partially translated into English and supplemented by a detailed explanation from us giving you a comprehensive overview of the legal status situation during and after the grant procedure, or during legal proceedings.
We can also supply additional information such as citations (partially provided), domestic priorities, divisionals, and the names of the parties to the various proceedings.
Usually, your queries for legal status information will be answered within one or two working days, in urgent cases, within a few hours. The results of our legal status searches can be sent to you by letter, fax or e-mail depending on the urgency. Preliminary information can be supplied via telephone.
The price per query and document is currently EUR 25.00.
