30.8.2007 Gap in the publication number series of EP A documents between week 34 and 35/2007

Usually the publication numbers of EP A1 documents are sequential without gaps. Unfortunatety it happened that the highest number of the publications in week 34/2007 (number 1821589) and the lowest number of week 35/2007 (1824332) do not match. There are no publications for the number range that is missing and the numbers will not be assigned anymore. We are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause.

1.8.2007 Information about the European Patent Bulletin week 2007/32

In publication week 2007/32, the European Patent Bulletin will not contain alterations and corrections of the inventor in section I.12(10).

The reason: in the EPO's patent data base systems, an automatic clean-up of inventor data was performed, to remove, for example, invalid characters. As a result, 75.000 applications were changed. As it would take an extra 3.400 pages to publish these data in PDF format, we have decided not to include them in Section I.12(10) of the European Patent Bulletin.

Instructions for the download of a list containing all alterations and corrections of the inventor can be found in the supplement to the European Patent Bulletin week 2007/32.

21.6.2007 Information about corrected EP patent documents

As of publication week 30/2007, the layout of corrected EP patent documents will be slightly changed. The revision bars and other correction mark-up within the document body will be replaced by additional correction information on the title page under INID code 15.

In the past, information such as "drawings replaced or added", "search report deleted" was added on the relevant pages within the document. This information will in future be available on the title page. The same applies to the information on affected paragraphs within the description: The affected paragraphs will be listed on the title page, the revision bars in the description become obsolete.

The correction procedure remains otherwise unchanged.
