Content description of the manuals
DOC DB: The technical specifications (according to WIPO and ISO standards) of the XML exchange format in the (bibliographic) master database DOCDB as well as the technical description of DOCDB data. Also includes details on standardized data from the different countries and the descriptions of field names and field contents
TD/104/Y2000: Technical description of IFD data - based on the input from the bibliographic database DOCDB but contains standardizing data from different countries according to INPADOC standards. Description of record formats, record status length etc.
MA/T12EXT 1.6: Description of the legal status exchange format and layout of file records, data records, attribute lists, explanations of legal events tags and a sample file.
REFI: layout descriptions of record formats for categories (citations)
NPL: Non patent literature definition and layout description manual.

This document describes the web service, allowing non-developers to understand the functionality of the service as well as offering developers the necessary information needed in order to connect to and actively use the web service.
T09.01 ST 36 Documentation vs 2.1.5.: EPO Exchange Format (Patent Information Resource) - exchange of patent information as produced by the EPO from their master documentation database DOCDB
Worldwide Patent Statistical Database data catalog: description of the conceptual, logical and physical models used in the Worldwide Patent Statistical Database. The data catalog has detailed descriptions of the tables and all the elements (fields). There are also some simple examples of SQL code for counting publications, finding cited documents and retrieving priority applications. Be aware that the data catalog is version dependent. Previous versions of the data catalog can be downloaded via the EPO Worldwide Patent Statistical Database forum.
OLIF
There are two descriptive manuals. One describes the general format of OLIF (Open Lexicon Interchange Format) dictionaries, the other one describes the specific implementation of OLIF for the purpose of supporting Electronic Machine Translation for patent documents. The dictionaries can be used with Systrans, Language Weaver or other translation engines
