India: amendments to patents rules in force

Désolé. Actuellement, cette page n'existe pas en français.

According to a public notice, the Indian Patent Office has added several relevant amendments to the Patents (Amendment) Rules 2014 which came into force on 28 February 2014. (See also our earlier update on this topic). One of these changes is the further division of the applicant's type "other than natural person" into a new sub-category of "small entity" and a second sub-category "others except of small entity". Furthermore, the newly introduced fee structure imposed an additional fee for patent applications and subsequently filed documents which are not filed directly on-line, but through a physical media or in a hard copy format. For further details, please refer to the text of the Patents (Amendment) Rules 2014.
