Japan/Korea: JPO and KIPO agree on PCT-PPH project

At their recent meeting in December 2011, the heads of the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) agreed on implementing a Patent Prosecution Highway for PCT applications (PCT-PPH). The two sides plan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the PCT-PPH and to implement the new system during the first half of 2012.
