India: Improved version of "iPairs" launched

The Indian Patent Office launched an improved version ("iPairs 2.0") of its public patent search database in late April 2012. With the relaunch, the number of pre-defined search fields has been increased, the possibilities of combining the search items have been extended and a number of search operators have been introduced. Instructions on how to use the new search functions are available in a help file.

For granted patents, the data is available from 1912 onwards. For patent applications filed after 1 January 1995, the full details including complete specifications, original documents and e-register information have been included.
