Chinese Taipei: TIPO opens "Patent Search Center"

Désolé. Actuellement, cette page n'existe pas en français.

On 3 May 2012, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) opened a "Patent Search Center" (PSC) in Taipei to assist examiners in dealing with the backlog. The center is modeled after Japan's "Industrial Property Cooperation Center" (IPCC) which conducts prior art searches on behalf of the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the "Korea Institute of Patent Information" (KIPI).

The center forms an integral part of TIPO's initiatives to "fast-track" patent applications. It is currently staffed by 25 employees with backgrounds in a number of technical fields, but also business administration, law and other subjects. It is planned to double the manpower next year in order to further speed up the procedures.

More information can be found in a news item on TIPO's website and on the website of the "Patent Search Center" (Chinese only).
