Korea: Boom in registrations for public designs

Registrations of public designs in Korea reached a new record level: according to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the total number of registrations rose by 20% from 1,615 in 2010 to 1,925 in 2011. Around two thirds of all registrations were related either to lighting facilities (such as e.g. street lights) or recreational facilities.
