Chinese Taipei: Regulations on foreign language applications issued

Désolé. Actuellement, cette page n'existe pas en français.

The Taiwan Patent Office (TIPO) has released Implementing Regulations concerning the languages in which applications will be accepted under the new Patent Act. The languages referred to in articles 25, 106 and 125 of the Patent Act will be Arabic, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Invention and utility model applications filed in foreign languages shall include a specification, at least one claim, drawings and a title. In order to keep the filing date, the applicant will then have to submit a Chinese translation within a specified time limit. The amended law will enter into force on 1 January 2013.

An English version of the new Patent Act can be downloaded on TIPO's website. More information about the language regulations is available in recent news items in English and Chinese.
