China, Japan, Korea: "Comparative table of utility model protection" available

The Chinese Patent Office (SIPO), the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Korean Patent Office (KIPO) have recently released a comparison chart which highlights similarities and differences of the utility models systems in the three countries. Issues compared include the terms of protection, examination procedures, pendency times, simultaneous filing and conversion of patent and utility model applications, amendments and divisional applications.

The chart has been published in English language and can be downloaded in PDF format from SIPO's website.
