Korea: Full text of trial decisions now available in KIPRIS

Since January 2013, users can also retrieve full texts of trial decisions in the KIPRIS database. This new feature was implemented together with the launch of the new KIPRIS version earlier this year. Users can access the text by clicking on the "Judgement" icon in the "detailed view" screen. As the text is provided in a machine-readable format, it can be easily copied to a free online machine translation tool.

Currently, KIPRIS contains only trial decisions taken by the court of first instance, the "Intellectual Property Tribunal". Decisions taken by the courts of second and third instance can be retrieved via the website of the Patent Court (searchable in Korean only) and the Supreme Court (in English) respectively.
