Japan/ASEAN: Enhanced co-operation between JPO and Malaysian, Indonesian offices

Désolé. Actuellement, cette page n'existe pas en français.

As of 1 April 2013, the Japan Patent Office (JPO) acts as International Searching Authority (ISA) and International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA) for PCT applications filed with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO).

From 1 June 2013 onwards, the JPO will start functioning as ISA and IPEA for PCT applications filed with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights of Indonesia (DGIPR). On the same day, a PPH pilot programme between the two offices will be launched.

This will make it possible for applicants filing international applications in Malaysia and Indonesia to obtain the results of the JPO's searches by selecting the JPO as ISA or IPEA in their application. With these agreements entering into force, the JPO will conduct international searches for all ASEAN six majors (Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam).
