India: proposal to introduce utility models

The Indian government is examining the possibility of introducing utility models to its IPR regime with a view to supporting innovative activity in India. The government's Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), has published a discussion paper on utility models and is inviting views and suggestions until 30 June 2011.
