Singapore: IPOS annual report and "Search and Examination Guide" available

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) now offers a free guide explaining its search and examination practice on patentability issues. The guide, available as a PDF file for download, gives an insight into some unique features of the patent system in Singapore, and illustrates the examiners' approach for assessing issues like novelty and inventive step.

The annual report for the financial year 2009/2010 has now also been released. This and further information is available at the IPOS website.
