Japan: JPO is planning amendments to the Patent Act

The amendments include among other things, (i) measures for protection of licensees and joint inventors, (ii) fee-related changes such as reduction of or exemption from patent fees, (iii) revisions to the systems of grace periods, trials and double jeopardy etc.
