India: Manual of Geographical Indications Practice and Procedure

The Indian Patent Office (IPO) has published the "Manual of Geographical Indications Practice and Procedure". The manual is meant as a practical guide for potential applicants in the effective prosecution of geographical indication (GI) applications in India. Protection of GIs has been possible in India since September 2003. The manual can be downloaded as a PDF from the Indian Patent Office's website.
