India: patent office issues instructions on examination and grant process

The Controller General of the Indian Patent Office (IPO) has issued a circular with detailed instructions on the examination and grant process of patent applications. The instructions are meant to improve the quality of examination, avoid duplication of work and clarify the role of examiners and controllers.
