Malaysia: patent office presents "Strategic Plan 2012"

The Malaysian Patent Office (MyIPO) has presented its strategic plan for the year 2012 which includes the accession to the Madrid System of Trademarks. MyIPO also plans to allow the registration of non-traditional trade marks, implement a voluntary copyright notification system and drop substantive examination of utility innovations.
