Public reading room The reading room provides the public with access to national, European and international IP documentation so that they can perform their own searches. PATLIB staff advises the public how to search and how to retrieve relevant documents. Visitors may search IP databases free-of-charge using the workstations provided.
Provision of intellectual property documentation The PATLIB centre provides copies of IP documents (paper and electronic documents)
Helpdesk services The PATLIB centre provides information on IP procedures, different kinds of IP rights, the requirements for filing an IP application, fees, search possibilities, etc. Legal advice is not included in this service.
For official reasons, the regional libraries are not operational at this stage.

Their operation is carried out by the central office of OBI in Athens, which fulfils all the needs for providing technological information over the phone, and/or email, and/or organization of visits and seminars.

In addition, patent awareness events are organized by OBI or related institutions with OBI’s participation, and uploaded on OBI’s website for information and participation.

The re-opening of the regional libraries will be posted on OBI’s website with details at the place and persons in charge.
