Services
User training	The PATLIB centre organises training sessions (seminars, workshops) concerning IP rights, databases, search techniques and other IP related issues.
Patent clinics	This service is provided in collaboration with local professional representatives (patent attorneys). The role of the PATLIB centre is to co-ordinate bilateral consultancy sessions between the attorney and the client and to provide the necessary information background (e.g. relevant documents and preparatory searches. Legal advice is given solely by the attorney.
IP strategy development	With this service PATLIB centres assist their clients in developing and implementing their IP strategies, e.g. what to protect, where and how, with whom to co-operate, etc.
Notes The public access area, “Y Bont” provides the public with access to leaflets and a small selection of reference books about IP. If available, PATLIB staff will give information on searching public IP databases. Visitors may search publicly available IP databases free-of-charge using the workstations provided. PATLIB staff will provide drop-in clients with basic information on IP, and access to IP leaflets etc. For more in-depth information, it is recommended to book a Patent Clinic appointment.
