Description
The EPO has developed electronic machine translation dictionaries.
The implementation is based on an OLIF (Open Lexicon Interchange Format) application and is run with Systrans or another translation engine, e.g. Language Weaver. These dictionaries are tailor-made for patent documents by using IPC symbols for specifying the technical context of the usage of terms. The sub-folders are organised by IPC sub-classes.
Coverage
Under the framework of this project, to date, the EPO had completed the following dictionaries:
- German - English; English - German
- Spanish - English; English - Spanish
- English - French; French - English
- English - Italian; Italian - English
- English - Portuguese; Portuguese - English
Format
