According to the European Patent Convention, the European Patent Office has the legal obligation to publish the patent applications it receives (A-documents) and the patents it grants (B-documents).
The weekly file contains all EP-A and EP-B documents also accessible on the Publication Server on Wednesday at 14.00 pm.
All European patent applications (EP-A documents) filed via the PCT route published by WIPO in one of the official language of the EPO are not republished by the EPO. For this reason, only minimum information is available (EP publication, corresponding PCT application number, etc).
The product includes complete documents, i.e. all the data available in the EP applications and granted patents as published.
