Special Search Programme

A range of special search services provided by the national offices of the member states (NOMS) beyond the scope of the standard patentability search

The Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation has decided that, within the European Patent Network, the standard and special searches currently performed by the EPO will be provided by the national offices. Read more in "Information from the EPO" of 4 July 2007.

As of 1 September 2007, the EPO no longer provides this service. However, the national offices listed below can provide all or some of these services. More information can be obtained by clicking on one or more of the links in the table. This web content will be updated by the EPO as information on the evolution of these services is provided by the national offices.
