The EPO is extending its coverage to San Marino(SM)

On 14 September 2004, the Government of the Republic of San Marino deposited its instrument of accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The said Treaty entered into force on 14 December 2004. This move was followed by the accession to the European Patent Convention (EPC) on 21 April 2009. As a consequence, the Republic of San Marino became the 36th member state of the European Patent Organisation on 1 July 2009.
We are pleased to announce that the European Patent Office is working on the implementation of the bibliographic data for San Marino.
The schedule for the uploading of SM data is to be announced when all the formalities and preparations have been completed.
