Description

Have you ever wanted to know how to search in the Brazilian patent office’s databases? Are you interested in learning about the life of a patent application in Mexico? And what kind of data from Latin American countries does the EPO provide?

Join us for a series on presentations and hands on exercises on patent information from Latin America! This series will help you to

 

·       make yourself familiar with the granting procedure of several Latin American countries

·       explore free available search tools like LatiPat and online databases provided by national offices

·       tackle challenges related to patent documentation such as “exotic” document types and number formats

·       get an overview what data from Latin America  is available in DOCDB, INPADOC and other databases of the EPO

Prerequisites

The EPO offers webinars in conjunction with WebEx, so initially some WebEx software will be installed on your computer. If this is not allowed due to different settings you can also run a temporary application.

To make full use of the webinar we recommend the use of analogue headsets.
